It's officially summer vacation in this house.
My son is finished with his finals and is enjoying his free time at home and with his friends. That is, until he starts summer school for math. Common core was introduced when my son was in the 9th grade, and it has been quite the ride. Not only did my son have to adapt to a rigorous high school schedule in a competitive school, he had to learn a whole new way of thinking about math. Believe it or not, he's not bummed about summer school. He feels he can focus on getting the grade without having to worry about other subjects. Hey, whatever works. It's so hard to get caught up in my own expectations. I've learned that the more I guide him without my own spin on it, the better off he is.

A few days ago, I went to the Yummy Spoonfuls launch event hosted by Target. More to come.
I wrote my first post for SheKnows. Take a wild guess what it's about. I share a piece about love and cat allergies. It's a fun article. Check it out.
I hope you have a great weekend. That sinus issue I had a few weeks back seems to be back. Hopefully, I'll be well enough to enjoy the sun. Fingers crossed!
