This is my blog post for the next several days, as I get ready for a full week of preparation for our Summit this week. I won't be able to get back on the blog until next week, but you can follow all the action by following the hashtag #WeAllGrow. It's been a very long few months of work. Long days and nights. But fortunately, I've managed to plan my outfits, makeup and accessories (haven't packed everything yet!), and now I just need to get the social media team in order with everything they need to know to make sure that our attendees and sponsors get all the online love they deserve before heading out to get my mom from the airport. She's joining us for the conference, which makes me so happy. Not only will she get a glimpse of what I do for a living (no one knows what I do, really) but I'm hoping she will feel inspired to explore new ways of developing a new clientele. She's a psychologist, but since her move to Texas (the boonies, pretty much), it's been challenging to do all of things she was able to do when she lived in New York. I've been urging her to take things to the internet .. Writing? Podcast? Skype sessions? There are so many possibilities. At some point, I need to get my packing completed. Although the dress I'm wearing is conference-perfect, I don't think I will be taking this one with me. I wore it last week to Social Summit 2016, where I spoke about Visual Storytelling on Instagram. Unfortunately, there was no one to cover for me on Periscope, but I will definitely share my slides in a few posts when I get back.
OK. In the suitcase, it goes.
